Well, another month has passed and I have more WIPocalypse updates. First up is my January finish Purple Garden:
Then we have Metamorphosis-
Before:
After:
Part One of Ring in the New (a new start)
Also I have started Lavender Blue by Angie Designer. I have made mine in purples using Old Maid of the Vineyard, BeMused, Antique Rose, and the forth color is still undecided. I have tried at least six so far, but have more in the mail. I hope to get them in time to finish this part before the due date of Feb 25th.

Update on Metamorphosis
I have been working on Metamorphosis non-stop for the past week and have made some progress... this is also one of my WIPocalypse pieces. I have now moved on to the right top blue area. That will be difficult to keep up. I am working on my Lavender Blue SAL by Angie Designer now, so I thought I would post Meta.

WIPocalypse 2012 First Moon Update
This is my first update for the WIPocaalypse SAL. I started Mustertuch von 1783 on January 1st. I also restarted Froth & Bubble. I am in the process of frogging the part on the right and the actual restart is on the left. I plan to stitch F&B II just under the first, or I could line it beside this one. Decisions, decisions...

I finally have a computer!!
I am so excited. I finally broke down and bought another computer. I have had three Gateways and an HP. This time I went with a Dell laptop. Oh, the freedom. I love it. I can now start posting more regularly. It was so aggrevating to do by phone.
I have decided to join the WIPocalypse 2012 SAL on Measi's Musings. It is a neat idea to work on things you want to finish before the end of the world. Hopefully that won't happen, but it will be nice to drag out some old favorite WIPs that I want to finish. I am trying to keep the list at 10, but it is so hard!! The only thing you have to do to post progress photos during each new moon (she has the dates listed) in order to be a part of the SAL. There is a drawing at the end for some free stash, but I really think just getting to work on favorite WIPs is reward in itself!
The deadline to enter is January 15th, so if anyone else out there wants to join, it's really easy. Just post a comment on her blog and let her know your blog site. Easy-Peasy. I think we all have a few things we'd love to finish before the end of the world!
Today I have decided to restart Froth and Bubble. I love the fabric so much, that I have decided not to waste it. It is 45 ct Quarry Graziano by Sassy's Fabbys. Since Graziano is now no longer being made, I would like to conserve what I have. The design will be about 6 inches across (the fabric shrank to about 48-50 ct), and my fabric is 17 inches across. With using a two inch margin, I can still have 7 inches x 34 inches left. Perfect for some smalls. I plan to put Froth and Bubble II just underneathe to make one long sampler. This is what I have done so far (actually there's more, but it's too depressing to take another pic). This is also my chosen Daily Strand stitching for the year.
Well, off to start frogging...

Snow Garden
This is the first piece to BBD Anniversaries of the Heart completed. The first block is supposed to be the lightest, but I think it turned out well on the Sage fabric. I have decided to stitch them three across and five vertically instead of the original way BBD designed them. Next in line will be the first bonus chart.

My computer died!

Well, I haven't been able to post in forever because my computer bit the dust. I'm going to try to use my phone, this post is just a test. Here is a photo of ABC 1900 to test... I hope this works!

Updating...
Hello! It has been a while since I have posted. I never use the laptop anymore- just my Blackberry, so it seems like a hassel to drag it out. But today I shall show a few pics. I joined the Marquoir Group on yahoo and have been busy stitching some wonderful patterns. I don't speak German, but with the help of Babel fish I have been able to keep up. Also, the moderators are fluent in English and are great helping translate if needed.
I am currently concentrating on Herz Rot-weiB (Heart Red-White) created by Jean-Louis Grandsire . I changed the colors to HDF white chocolate and Waterlilies Fir. The fabric is 40 ct Antique Spice from Sassy's Fabrics- my favorite fabric source! I have finished 9/36 parts and hope to get a couple more done today.
I have also started See the Star by Monika Buro and have finished 6/25 parts. I am stitching it on 40 ct Spellbound from Sassy's Fabrics with assorted HDF. This is the first 5 parts.
Here is also Zentangle-2 by Kirsten Schmidt. I have stitched 4/24 parts on this one. The original Zentangle-1 is why I even found the group. I joined the group after it was already stitched, but was able to purchase it with a donation to a charity of the list mom's choice (there's a new list mom now, so I joined just in time to be able to get it!!). Zentangle-2 is being stitched on Sassy's Caramel Corn which is a very rich yellow. It looks very faded in this picture. The silk is HDF special dye that we called Crushed Berries.

I am also stitching Quakerchen (Little Quaker) and Sissi Sampler. I just got the 3rd parts of each of those and will update them a little later- if I can remember!!
Once again, all these wonderful projects are copywrited to the Marquoir Group which I highly suggest to anyone who likes to cross stitch! We will be starting a tea cup sampler soon as well as a couple of other samplers. Babel fish is a great tool to help with translating!!

Jennie Jean
Here is my first attempt at canvas work. It is Jennie Jean by Amybear Needlepoints. It was truly a pleasure to stitch. This is a gift for one of my co-workers for Christmas. I changed all the colors to better suit her tastes. The floss used is HDF silks. Such a fun stitch! I hope to do "Heavenly Cats" by Amybear in the near future.

Here is an update on Four Horses of Apocolypse by Kustom Krafts. I have greatly enjoyed working on it lately. Not a lot of confetti and I seem to get tons done at one sitting. This is about 40 hours total. Much faster than a HAED!

I completely forgot about updating my poor little blog. I don't get a lot of stitching time now since I have a 10 month old baby crawling everywhere! I did finally finish Vision of Light- she's gorgeous. Now I have to wash her and have her framed. Here she is in all her glory!I'll do my best to try to remember to at least post something in the future! Thanks for looking everyone!

Update on QS Red Poppy
Right now I'm addicted to the sampler And They Sinned. I started it years ago, and pulled it out of the closet this week. I'm making tons of progress and will update it next. I hope to make it to the half way mark before putting it away again.

A few pics-
I have been stitching sporadically lately. I have a few pics to catch up on. For the HAED retired artist SAL, I stitched Metamorphosis and got a lot done. Another little fishy is visable.
And last, but not least, my Peaceful Paradise sampler. I got bogged down in all the word stitching and put it away for a little while. It's so huge!

Peaceful Paradise
I just started Peaceful Paradise by Midsummer Night Designs. It is so fun!! I bought all the original Crescent Colors/Gentle Arts/ Weeks that it called for, but have found myself subbing out most of it with HDF. Just can't help it! I have so many beautiful spools wanting to be stitched! The first panel (daylight) is stitched in a blue mystery spool that I think may be Steph's Gentle Seas. The second panel is in Motes of Night. The clouds are Mother of Pearl light. I am keeping the yellow WDW Whiskey, but I almost used HDF OMOTHive. I decided to keep that spool intact though because I may use it for a Quaker.

Spanish Mystery Sampler
I have finished the first installment of the Spanish Mystery Sampler from Periphaeria Designs. I love this design. I am using Bitterness silk on 36 ct Terra Potta linen, both from HDF. I have spent a little time on my Ink Circles Mystery today. But now I think it is time for a new start... I am getting ready to start Peaceful Paradise by Midsummer Night Designs. I am using 40 ct. light sand linen and a mix of HDF, Crescent Colors, Gentle Art Shaker, and maybe some DMC- we'll see what happens.

Some more stitchy pics
I have been doing a lot of stitching this week- it helps me relax from the stresses of work. I have a small finish that only took about 10 hours- my first finish since last year!! It is Needlewoman by Carriage House Samplings. I used HDF Kindling, Old Maid of the Heart, and Basic Black. There's a shadow in the lower right side that is not on the fabric- didn't notice it until I posted it!

Update on QS Red Poppy
I spent a little quality time with my Red Poppy this weekend during the HAED SAL challange. Here she is- isn't she a darling?!I'm off my HAED addiction for the time being. Obsessed with samplers. This weekend is the 3rd sampler SAL on the HAED BB, and I will be starting my Spanish Sampler from Periphaeria designs. I am doing it as a monochrome on using Bitterness on 36 ct terra potta linen- both from Hand-Dyed fibers. I may also work on my Ink Circles mystery and/or Mystery Quaker. I don't expect to get a ton of stitching time in because I have to work all weekend. Yuck!

Mystery Quaker 2008
I have finally started Martina Dey's Mystery Quaker. This is my first ever quaker, and I am really enjoying it. So much so, that I have ordered a lot more!! Including the infamous Beatrix Potter. Had to spend a lot on eBay, but I am very happy to have found it. Just waiting on the USPS to deliver it....
I've also included a pic of some of my most recent HDF linen and spool purchases. I have received more since this pic, have another order on the way and a shopping cart full as well. These little spools are like candy. I just love them!! 50 yards of six strand or 300 yds of single strand. Lovely!

QS Red Poppy by CCK
Here she is after the March HAED SAL Challenge. I got lots of stitching done this weekend since I didn't have to work. I am going to force myself to do the background and top of her hair before I start on the face. I think she is going to be beautiful. She's so bright as colorful!! This is 7100 stitches so far.

So far, so good. Stitching deligently on VoL with no other WIP screaming too loudly in my head to be stitched. But I will be happy to work on QS Poppy this weekend for the HAED SAL. I'll post a pic of VoL on Friday if I remember.

Love Me Not- and a crazy idea
Here is an update on Love Me Not. I have seen this one finished, and it is gorgeous. I hope to finish mine some day... which brings me to my crazy idea. I have decided to see how long I can stitch on ONE HAED. I would love to have a finish, so I'm going to concentrate on Vision of Light and see how far I can go. I'll throw a few samplers in and also continue to stitch with the various SALs, but as of this moment forward, I want to finish Vision of Light.

Mermaid of the Deep
This is my most recent HAED WIP. The 4th weekend SAL happened to be "Creature SAL," and I hadn't touch this one since a new start SAL last year! I am happy with the creepy crawley. The original can be seen in the sidebar. It's by Jasmine Beckett Griffith. I had to work all night Saturday, so I didn't get as much done as I would have liked.... overall about 1600 stitches.
